Alignment of your strategy for improved execution
Has your team agreed on a strategic direction or goals or a made a decision about an approach to something only to find out later that you were actually not on the same page at all? The leadership team of one cosmetics company failed for weeks to agree on a go-to-market strategy, with conversations around pricing schemes, advertising, voice of the customer analysis, sales force structure, and partnerships dragging on without resolution. What they didn’t realize was that most of their problems were based on a simple misunderstanding of the language they were using to describe their fundamental strategy. Many of the senior managers believed the company sold ‘commodity cosmetics’, while others viewed their product line as a set of ‘value-added facial solutions’, a difference with huge execution implications. Assess Your Strategic Management Health
